How do you handle international calls for clients?

Good morning everyone,

Happy Monday! :)

Several of my clients travel globally, and just today I've had a client ask me to call London and change her hotel reservation. Up to now I've been with a VA company that had an international phone line that I could use.

What do you all do in these situations?

Thanks!

Charge for the time, not for the call (and use something like Skype, as suggested, that doesn't incur charges for you)

Thanks Tess! I checked that out, and it's free as long as the other person is using Skype.

Unfortunately I'm usually calling hotels or what have you, and with a little digging I've discovered that using Skype that way is more expensive than using Google Voice. I prepaid $10 on my GV account for the London call I had to make, and it was only a penny a minute.

Just posting this here in case anyone finds themselves with a similar question in the future! :)

Good point Allie - I guess I assumed the hotel would have a toll-free number...

I'm glad you found a solution that works for you!

I think if I was making long distance calls for clients on a regular basis I'd work the cost of the calls into my package or my rate. If it's just a one-off thing then I'd probably just write it off...

Hi Allie, Usually Skype is the best option

to have an international call but there

are also lot of options to choose from like

Ring Central,Magicjack,Viber,Yahoo

Messenger etc. I hope this applications will help you.
